Miss Kate started dancing at age 4, making national finals for physical culture at age 6, followed by a decorated competitive dance career as a soloist and team performer at her childhood studio Bradshaw Dance & Cheer & Flight Dance Centre (formerly Southwood Performing Arts). Miss Kate was nominated for HSC ‘Callbacks’ for her Core Performance work and then later studied for her Certificate IV in Performing Arts majoring in Dance at ED5 International.
Miss Kate then went on to work with renowned choreographers for many commercial Sydney events including, cooperate performance work, video clips, commercials, film and festivals.
Miss Kate obtained her Ballet & Tap Cert III Teaching accreditations in 2015 and in 2018 and completed her Dance Teaching & Management Cert IV in 2018. Miss Kate’s competition routine choreography has received National Awards and many students receiving Honours with Distinction under her tutorship for Jazz, Tap and Ballet Examinations.
Miss Caitlin has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Throughout her time dancing with SDA/SPA, she has trained in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Singing.
Miss Caitlin has represented SDA/SPA in our Troupe teams from 2007 to 2019 and has completed her Senior Ballet Grades with high marks. Miss Caitlin has also performed in multiple parades including the Dance the Magic Parade at the Disneyland Resort in 2016 and the Street Parade at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 2019.
She was awarded the Ballet Perpetual Trophy in 2011 and the Open Age Perpetual Award in 2017. She is dedicated to helping students develop their technique and confidence as dancers, particularly in the Ballet style. Miss Caitlin is a Provisional Teacher Member of BAL and is currently working towards completing her BAL Teaching Certificate III in Ballet. She is Working With Children Certified.
Miss Caitlin began dancing at the age of three and has loved it ever since. She has trained in many styles of dance whilst also competing with our troupe teams since 2010. Miss Caitlin competed in solo and trio competitions in 2017. Miss Caitlin also completed examination classes for both Tap and Tap'n'Beats, receiving high marks, showing her dedication and passion for dance. She also has had the opportunity to perform in the 2016 Disneyland Parade and the 2019 Greatest Easter Show Spectacular Street Parade.
In 2019 Miss Caitlin began as a student teacher for examination Tap classes and worked alongside many students. In 2020, she started working towards completing a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management to become a qualified dance teacher through BAL. Miss Caitlin is first aid trained and working with children certified.
She is passionate about creating children's love of dance through inspiring the children she teaches, as well as boosting their confidence and ability. Miss Caitlin has a love for working with children, which has led her to commence studying a Bachelor of Education in the next coming years at university.
Miss Jess started dancing at the age of 3 joining Elite Dance Centre (now Flight Dance Project). She completed a Diploma in Performing Arts at Brent Street Studios and then went on to do The Dream Dance Company’s Show Business with Marko Panzic and Katie Sanchez.
She is proficient in all genres of dance including jazz, contemporary, pointe, tap and heels. She has performed at various events such as Sydney Mardi Gras and has danced behind artists such as Starley, Cher and Samantha Jade. She has performed on The Voice and X-Factor working with many choreographers such as Mitchell Woodcock from New Ground Collective. She has also modelled for various runway shows including L'Oreal, Redken and Matrix and been in various ad campaigns with Holden and General Pants Co.
She is looking forward to joining SPA in 2021 and working with everyone.
Miss Jess has been dancing for 13 years and has enjoyed training in every style offered at SPA. Throughout her time as a student with SPA, she has been a part of our Troupe teams for nine years, represented SPA as a soloist and completed her Senior Ballet grades.
She has been selected to demonstrate the Grade 6 Ballet syllabus at the BAL Summer School and was awarded the Jazz Perpetual Trophy in 2014 and the Senior Scholarship Award in 2018. Miss Jess has also had the opportunity to perform in the 2016 Dance the Magic Parade at Disneyland Resort and the Street Spectacular Parade at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 2019.
Miss Jess has 4 years of dance teaching experience, specialising in the Jazz and Contemporary styles. As of 2020, Miss Jess is completing her Diploma of Performing Arts at ED5 International. Miss Jess is Working with Children Certified.
Mr Lachlan is a dedicated Dancer and Choreographer. Lachlan began dancing at the age of five and has taken any chance to dance since! He recently completed a Diploma in Performing Arts at Brent Street. Lachlan is a very hard worker and is a strong asset to the commercial dance industry.
Along with a love for teaching dance and passion for choreography, he has danced for Sam Smith under the creative direction of The Squared Division, and in Guy Sebastian’s music video for “Choir”. He has also danced on The Full Monty televised on Channel 7 and modelled for clothing labels such as GOAT. He currently is contracted with Jeep Management which offers him many corporate gigs and performance opportunities.
Mr Lachlan joined the SPA family in 2020!
Miss Olivia began dancing when she was 5 years old. She has trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Acrobatics, and Cheerleading throughout her time at SDA/SPA.
Miss Olivia competed in our troupe teams from 2007 to 2018, while also representing SPA in solo competitions during 2016. She has successfully completed her BAL senior ballet and jazz examinations and is now studying with BAL completing a Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management majoring in Jazz.
Miss Olivia has 4 years of dance teaching experience and has a strong passion for teaching Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Cheerleading. Throughout her time with SDA/SPA Miss Olivia has been awarded an allrounder perpetual in 2010 and the Contemporary Perpetual in 2017.
Miss Olivia is First-Aid trained and Working with Children Certified.
Miss Hayley began her love for dance in 2000 and has continued to develop her training in all styles of dance. With a strong passion for ballet, jazz, contemporary and lyrical, she is a successful soloist and 2018 troupe National finalist. She has also successfully completed her BAL senior ballet examinations with Honours and is now studying with BAL completing a Cert IV in dance teaching and management majoring in ballet. Miss Hayley has had the opportunity to perform at Disneyland twice in 2016 and 2019, on Hollywood Boulevard and at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Along with dance, Miss Hayley has a strong passion for teaching ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, hip hop and musical theatre. Miss Hayley has been a part of the Stratosphere family since day one and 2020 will mark her 8th year teaching, having had the opportunity to choreograph several solos, performance pieces and concert routines.
When she is not teaching, Miss Hayley is an event manager and supervisor, assisting Miss Kate in organising, both mid-year and annual concerts and the Dance Universe competition. She has also had the chance to supervise New Year's Eve events, Christmas parades, RSL shows and Canterbury Racecourse entertainment working with Showtime Attractions.
In 2020 Miss Hayley will be taking on a very exciting new role as studio manager assisting Miss Kate in managing the studio.
Miss Kaitlyn began her dancing journey in 2006, training in jazz, tap, ballet, acrobatics, contemporary, hip hop, and cheer at SDA/SPA. Miss Kaitlyn’s passion for dancing strengthened when she joined our Troupe teams in 2009 and to this day, she still enjoys being part of both Troupe and Company teams. Miss Kaitlyn competed in jazz and tap trios, completed her senior tap and ballet grades, and has had the opportunity to perform in the 2016 Disneyland Parade and the 2019 Greatest Easter Show Spectacular Street Parade. Miss Kaitlyn has also been awarded the Junior All Rounder Perpetual Trophy in 2010, Senior Scholarship in 2015 and Dancer of the Year Full Scholarship in 2018.
Specialising in tap, Miss Kaitlyn has been teaching for 3 years at SPA and is in the process of completing her BAL Cert III for Dance Teaching, majoring in Tap. Her love for tap grew when she began participating in 2 Tap Exams each year, learning both BAL Tap and Tap and Beats syllabi, and receiving Honours/Honours with Distinction in every exam. Miss Kaitlyn is Working with Children and First Aid Certified.
Rennard is a Performer/Choreographer. He has recently graduated from his Advance Diploma in Performing Arts at Ed5 International. He started training as a Hip Hop dancer in 2014 with some of Australia's best Hip Hop crews, accomplishing many achievements at World's Hip Hop International and World Supremacy Battlegrounds.
He has been privileged to have performed for Justice Crew, Ciara, Chloe Dallimore and Bobby Fox, Choreographed by William Alexander Forsythe, the Voice Channel Nine, Disney Channel, Carols in the Domain alongside Paulini and Lucy Durack. Rennard Is currently a representative at JR Management and continues to broaden his passion and knowledge.
Rennard specialises in Hip-hop and teaches many age groups ranging from Junior to Senior classes. He is passionate about making a safe and creative space for the students and trains them to have the proper tools to progress their dance journey.
Miss Sophie began dancing at the studio at the age of 3. She has participated in many different styles throughout her years of dancing, as well as performing with our troupes on stage since 2013. She has participated in the studio examinations for many years, in both Tap and Tap'n'Beats styles, receiving high marks for both.
Miss Sophie received the 2015 Tap Perpetual and the 2019 Open Age Perpetual trophies as a mark of her dedication to dance. She began student teaching in 2018, having worked closely with our younger troupe and exam students. In 2020, Miss Sophie started working towards completing her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management to become a qualified teacher through BAL. Miss Sophie is passionate about helping students increase their love of dance as well as developing their tapping skills. She focuses on building up a student’s self-esteem to send them confidently through their exams. Miss Sophie is Working with Children and First Aid Certified.
As of 2020, she also began studying at TAFE, working towards her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Miss Sophy has been a dance and vocal teacher for over 5 years. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Music where she completed her Bachelor of Music: Music Theatre in 2015 with a Distinction.
Not long after graduating from AIM, Sophy toured Australia in the premiere of Bring it On: The Musical where she played the starring role of Bridget.
She then went on to play Gingy in the NSW premiere of Shrek the musical. Her other credits include Georgie in the Full Monty, Pilar in Legally Blonde the musical, The Scrutineer in Keating!, Charlotte in Oliver!, Joseph and The Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Wizard of Oz, Hairspray, City of Angels, Rent, Bye Bye Birdie, West Side Story & Les Miserables.
She has also appeared in a Neutrogena commercial and was a part of the Channel 9 reality show Date Night.
Sophy has been singing for over 13 years and continues to train with her wonderful singing teacher Robert. Miss Sophy has recently completed her acrobatic arts certification after falling in love with cheer and acro!
